Here is the final piece from my series on “Refire! Don’t Retire… Make the Rest of Your Life the Best of Your Life” by Ken Blanchard and Morton Shaevitz.
This last key is the most interesting to me; hope you enjoy it too.
The Fourth Key: Refiring Spiritually
The Big Picture – The authors mention that at a point in your life you realize, that there are no hap chances; “… your notion of God or a higher power has to be a concept you can do business with – in other words, it must be meaningful for you”.
“Spirituality is about reaching out to God on a day-to-day basis for help to be the best human being you possibly can be.”
Refiring Spiritually:
- Be aware… See the big picture
- Be forgiving… Give up being right
- Be grateful … Count your blessings
- Be accepting… Realize you’re not in total control.
- Be humble…Realize you’re not the center of the universe
